In recent months, Litokol’s environmental management system obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification with DNV GL, in symbolic recognition of its constant commitment to monitoring its production process and impact on the local territory.
This type of planning, implementation, control and continuous review for the purpose of optimising its processes primarily concerns environmental performance, but more generally also involves the entire company in a virtuous system of self-evaluation in regards to its own performance and impact on the local territory.
Litokol’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality System certification, held since 1999, is now supported and supplemented by the recently obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification.
Following these important process certifications, Litokol’s Research & Development Department is implementing several measures connected to the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of products and their so-called “environmental footprint” (EPD - Environmental Product Declaration), a declaration of the product’s environmental certification, available to the public. The company will, therefore, be able to certify its impact in terms of eco-sustainability and the specific contribution of individual materials to the key principles of the circular economy, the new frontier of research and ultimate goal in the Litokol group’s journey of growth.
