Just 50 km from Geneva, in Rhône-Alpes, in the municipality of Saint-Martin-de-Bavel, an outdoor pavement was laid in Vals stone, creating a relaxation area with a contemporary feel around a private pool.
Type of intervention
For the pavement, Vals di Keope rectified stone tiles from the Percorsi Extra (30x60) line were used. The pool edges were created using special pieces of the same material with a thickness of 20 mm. The monoblock pool with a polyester structure is by Piscines Groupe G.A.
Laying materials
Starlike® Ardesia epoxy mortar was used to grout the pavement running along the pool perimeter. Starlike® Turchese epoxy mortar, in the same colour as the pool material, was used to grout the special pieces along the pool edge.
The Starlike® sealant was selected because of its high resistance against chlorine and frost. This last characteristic is particularly important given that the pool is located in an area of France subject to very low temperatures in the winter. The Starlike® range is resistant against UV rays, maintains its colour over time and does not fade. Litonet was used for cleaning.
