The Peninsula Paris hotel at 19 Avenue Kléber in the heart of Paris' 16th Arrondissement sets a new standard of design, luxury and comfort.
Type of Works
The refurbishment of this historic building, completed in 2014, meant creating new areas: one of which dedicated to well being and beauty treatments for the hotel's guests, in its 1800 m² spa. The 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool has hydro-massage pools, and the two fitness rooms contain the most modern sports equipment. All of this so that the Peninsula's Spa can be a space entirely dedicated to luxury and relaxation.
Grouting materials
In order to maintain the highest levels of quality and appearance, the precious Sicis mosaics of the Spa swimming pool were grouted with two component epoxy mortar, Starlike® by Litokol in the colours of Titanio and Bianco Ghiaccio, which can offer an higher durability of the work than what can be obtained with traditional cementitious mortar, thanks to high mechanical and chemical resistance and zero absorption. The grouting of the joints with Starlike® is not only durable over time, but is also more hygienic and easier to maintain.
Thanks to Starlike®'s wide range of colours, a total of 132 finishings, the right colour tones could be found to highlight the tiles, without the grouting interfering visually with the accurately designed mosaic composition.
